CHAPTER FIVE

The Revelation Of Christ

After going through all of this for about three years or so, one day I was sitting on my couch feeling really sorry for myself, and I picked up a little booklet sent to me by an evangelist that had the cover title, “A CALL TO LOVE”.

I opened it up and began to read, actually some Bible verses were in there that I read and heard a million times. Here it is:

1 Corinthians 13

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. …

Now the word “charity” is a word meaning a form or type of love. But in reality, the word is not translated correctly. It is called “AGAPE” LOVE. That was a LOVE TYPE, of which there are many. This form of love was of course here A DIVINE FORM OF LOVE. The love of God, a type of love humanity is devoid of. It was lost at the fall.

I looked at that and suddenly it dawned upon me that I did not really love anyone at all. That I did not IN TRUTH love ANYONE, not my mom, my wife, my children, not anyone IN TRUTH.

It was a terrible revelation. Because we are a fallen race, we are self-serving, manipulative, always trying to get our own way, always wanting approval, always seeking love but not really giving it. We love ourselves way more than others, no matter how much we try to deny it.

That revelation was bad enough, but then something very super-natural or paranormal happened.

It was like I was in a theater and the curtain opened up so I could watch the movie. I later found out that the Creator was removing the veil that we all have so I could see into another dimension. I was looking through a GATEWAY. A portal, if you will.

The Good Book says it is the revelation of Christ to the believer. Here it is in Scripture:

John 14:21-25

²¹ He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

²² Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

²³ Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

²⁴ He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

²⁵ These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

²⁷ All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

²⁸ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

What I was shown was astounding. It is beyond all words – totally beyond all human comprehension. I was looking into THE LOVE OF THE CREATOR. I was looking into His depth, height, width, and it is so vast, so unfathomable, so huge it defies all human thought or imagination.

This love is nothing like anything you or I have or feel. It is a totally different TYPE of love, far beyond all human loves.

The Bible says that God’s thoughts and ways are above our thoughts and ways. In other words, God is on an entirely different level that us sub-Neanderthals.

I am looking into this LOVE, which is of course looking into JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF. I was looking directly into his SPIRIT NATURE.

He then spoke to me, and I heard it very clearly. I cannot say if audible in the physical realm or just in spirit. He said to me:

“Stewart, do you agree that LOVE runs this Universe?”

After just seeing His LOVE for his entire creation and everything within it, of course the answer was “Yes.”

John 10

10 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

² But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

³ To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

⁴ And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

⁵ And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

It is the love of God that upholds and runs everything there is. If He turned away, it would all vanish in an instant of time.

Humanity has no concept, no idea of the actual LOVE that God has for them. However, because of the fall, they are CUT OFF from Him and He is just a distant concept to most people, some unknown force out there. And few there be that will attempt to search Him out in the manner He Himself prescribed.

Proverbs 2

2 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

² So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

³ Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

⁴ If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

⁵ Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

⁶ For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

⁷ He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

When the Lord asked that question, does

“Love runs this Universe?” – That was the answer I had been looking and searching for. I wanted to know the actual and real truth behind the Universe and who made it. I now knew the answer.

“Stewart, have you ever loved?”

That was simple, for when you see His unfathomable LOVE TYPE, the answer for any human being on this Earth is a resounding “NO!” No one born into the human family can even come close to the LOVE OF GOD.

This was then THE JUDGMENT phase of real authentic salvation. I was being judged, and I was found guilty, because we all fall short of HIS LOVE TYPE. We lost it at the fall. We have no concept of HIS LOVE TYPE because it is no longer a part of our make-up. This why the Bible calls God a MYSTERY. It is beyond our human comprehension and so it must be REVEALED TO US BY HIM.

We do have fallen human loves, but they a corrupted hideous form of God’s love – but everyone knows that LOVE is better than HATE, and that LOVE MAKES A PERSON THRIVE and HATE DESTROYS.

The fallen love types that we have are a dark shadow of the love of God. They are so far below Him.

This was the judgement, and the judgement is based upon the perfect love of God. No one can come close. We are therefore doomed to ruin and loss. It is that simple. I knew then WHY I was going to hell. There was no question whatever.

I was a lost “sinner” and headed to ruin. Hell is a very real place where fallen spirits go. I remember a movie called “Ghost” and the portrayal of these spirits taking people “down” is very real and very accurate.

Of course, all of this is hidden from humanity, and they have no idea of their condition before their Creator. We all sail through life with our religions, philosophies, isms and whatever, hoping against hope that in the end, all will be well.

But it won’t be, and here is why:

Mankind really is fallen, and really is lost, and unless one searches it out, one will never know otherwise until death. Then it is too late to do anything about it.

The judgment bar is the LOVE TYPE OF GOD. We are all going to be judged against HIS DIVINE AGAPE, the love humanity had before the fall. This is the MYSTERY OF GOD, and it is also the MYSTERY OF “GODLINESS”. It is all folded into one thing, DIVIE AGAPE LOVE.

Enter then the “rescue mission” of Jesus Christ who came behind enemy lines to WARN US of what was really going on. Because we are fallen, and very bitter deep within at our fallen state, we mock Him, we mock the message. We do not want to know or understand that we really are a fallen creature, it is an insult to our haughty and arrogant hearts.  

So that warning from Jesus that we fallen, dead in our trespasses and sins, a prisoner that walks in total spiritual darkness falls upon deaf ears, because we cannot fathom such a thing, so we deny it, refuse to face it, and make up all of these concepts to deny it.

But somehow man KNOWS something is wrong, hence all of our “religions”, an attempt to bring God down to our understanding. It is all vanity.

Then I knew that Jesus Christ was EXACTLY who He said He was. He was my redeemer, He was my ransom, and He paid the price we all have to pay by being murdered on the Cross. It all made perfect sense to me in an instant of time. It all came together in a flash.

The next part of this conversation was brief but deadly. To LIVE or to DIE, that was the question!
