I my last post I connected the dots from many different sources that all point to September 22nd -23rd, 2017 as the most likely point for the beginning of the SECOND HOUR of the GROSS SPIRITUAL DARKNESS COVERING THE WHOLE EARTH, that Jesus referred to as THE HOUR OF JUDGMENT.
This appears to be true because of a very key alignment in heavens with Leo and Virgo, found in Revelation 12:1. The Crown of 12 stars appears ONLY ONCE in the heavens on a HIGH HOLY DAY, THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS, September 22nd 23rd, 2017 for the last trumpet blast of that Feast day.
I then went backwards from the 2017 date 1260 days and came to April 11, 2014 as the likely start of the TIME OF THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION, to TRY THEM that dwell upon the WHOLE EARTH. This period of time is the time of the TRIBULATION SAINTS, those that WERE NOT READYwhen the door to heaven opened and Jesus called HIS TRUE AND REAL BRIDE HOME.
Now a long time ago, a Jewish Rabbi named 2017 as a GREAT YEAR FOR ISRAEL:
“Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel
In 1217 the Jewish Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel prophesied that the Ottoman Turks would rule over the holy city of Jerusalem for eight Jubilees.
A Jubilee is a period of 50 years according to Leviticus 25:8-13. Eight Jubilees would then be 400 years.
Sure enough, 300 years later in 1517 the Ottoman Turks seized control of the city of Jerusalem and ruled over it for the next 400 years.
They were finally driven out of the city and the holy land in 1917 by the Allied forces under the command of General George Allenby.
The Rabbi’s prophecy about the 400 years was fulfilled exactly to the year.
The Rabbi had also prophesied that during the ninth Jubilee Jerusalem would be a “no-man’s land.”
This is exactly what happened from 1917 to 1967, due to the fact that the holy land was placed under British Mandate in 1917 by the League of Nations and literally “belonged” to no nation.
Even after Israel’s war of independence in 1948-49 Jerusalem was still divided by a strip of land running right through the heart of the city, with Jordan controlling the eastern part of the city and Israel controlling the western part of the city.
That strip of land was considered and even called “no-man’s land” by both the Israelis and the Jordanians.
Anyone even stepping into that strip would be shot down.
Regarding the division of Jerusalem, it was not until the Six Day War in 1967 when the entire west bank of the holy land was conquered by the Israeli army that the whole city of Jerusalem passed back into the possession of Israel.
So once again the prophecy made by the Rabbi 750 years previously was fulfilled to the letter.
But that is still not the end of the matter.
The Rabbi also prophesied that during the 10th Jubilee Jerusalem would be under the control of the Jews and the Messianic “end times” would begin.
The 10th Jubilee began in 1967 and will be concluded in 2017.
The Rabbi’s prophecy has been fulfilled to the letter right up to this present day.”

Alnitak is a star in the Orion Constelation, and it means “the wounded one.” The great chamber also will line up with the star Regulus and the planet Venus in conjunction. Observation history of Alnitak
Alnitak has been known since antiquity and, as a component of Orion’s belt, has been of widespread cultural significance. It was reported to be a double star by amateur German astronomer George K. Kunowsky in 1819.[1] Much more recently, in 1998, the bright primary was found by a team from the Lowell Observatory to have a close companion; this had been suspected from observations made with the Narrabri Stellar Intensity Interferometer in the 1970s.[2] Initially thought to be around 1500 light years distant, the Alnitak system’s distance was determined to be roughly half that via measurement of its stellar parallax by the Hipparcos satellite.

Alnitak is a triple star system at the eastern end of Orion’s belt. The primary (Alnitak A) is itself a close binary, comprising Alnitak Aa (a blue supergiant of spectral and luminosity type O9.7 Ibe, with an absolute magnitude of -5.25 and an apparent magnitude of 2.0) and Alnitak Ab (a blue dwarf of spectral and luminosity type O9V, with an absolute magnitude of about -3.0 and an apparent magnitude of about 4, discovered in 1998 [2]). Aa is estimated as being up to 28 times as massive as the sun, and to have a diameter 20 times greater.[3] It is the brightest star of class O in the night sky. Alnitak B is a 4th magnitude B-type star which orbits Alnitak A every 1500 years. A fourth star, 9th magnitude Alnitak C, has not been confirmed to be part of the Aa-Ab-B group, and may simply lie along the line of sight.
The Alnitak system is bathed in the nebulosity of IC 434.

The traditional name Alnitak, alternately spelled Al Nitak or Alnitah, is taken from the Arabic النطاق an-niṭāq, “the girdle”.[1]

The three belt stars were collectively known by many names in many cultures. Arabic terms include النجاد Al Nijād ‘the Belt’, النسك Al Nasak ‘the Line’, العلقات Al Alkāt ‘the Golden Grains or Nuts’ and, in modern Arabic, ميزان الحق Al Mīzān al Ḥaqq ‘the Accurate Scale Beam’. In Chinese mythology they were known as The Weighing Beam.[1]
The belt was also the Three Stars mansion (simplified Chinese: 参宿; traditional Chinese: 參宿; pinyin: Shēn Xiù), one of the Twenty-eight mansions of the Chinese constellations. It is one of the western mansions of the White Tiger.
In pre-Christian Scandinavia, the belt was known as Frigg‘s Distaff (Friggerock) or Freyja‘s distaff.[4] Similarly Jacob’s Staff and Peter’s Staff were European biblical derived terms, as were the Three Magi, or the Three Kings. Väinämöinen‘s Scythe (Kalevala) and Kalevan Sword are terms from Finnish mythology.[1]
The Seri people of northwestern Mexico call the three belt stars Hapj (a name denoting a hunter) which consists of three stars: Hap (mule deer), Haamoja (pronghorn), and Mojet (bighorn sheep). Hap is in the middle and has been shot by the hunter; its blood has dripped onto Tiburón Island.[5]
In Latin America, this asterism is known as Las Tres Marías or As Três Marias which stand for The Three Marys in Spanish and Portuguese respectively.
In the Star Trek episode The City on the Edge of Forever, Captain James T. Kirk references Alnitak by pointing it out as “that far left star in Orion’s belt—see?”
Notice that once again as with ALGOL, this is a TRIPLE STAR CLUSTER, and as the occult is seeking the UNHOLY TRINITY, all of this begins to add up and make a lot of sense.

If you crunch the numbers backward 1260 days you come to 4/8/2014, which is seven days before the first blood moon of the coming tetrad starting on Passover 4/15/2014.

Isn’t that interesting? If Rosh Hashannah BEGINS 7-20, then it would end 7-22 or 7-23 depending upon where you are in the world, as the datelines are different.
So now we wait – and I believe that 2017 shows us the MID-POINT of the tribulation, and that because the Lord has already told us that the Lord would “shorten the days” that from 2017 to 2020 it would all be over. Especially if they are shortened by one third!!!
It always seems that, like the Omega Code documentary we did, which is now on special sale for $12.95 including postage, that we come back to 2017 over and over. Tom Horn did a great work in trying to decipher the U.S. Seal, and of course it contains the number 600, 60 and 6 in the exact order John gave us in Revelation 13. It seems that the Mayan dates and our dates are not that far apart.
Many people forget that it is Jesus Himself that OPENS THE SEALS, known as the SEAL JUDGMENTS. I asked the question; why would Jesus make war upon His own Bride, that He loves with such a love there is no description in words to describe it when you Jesus shows you what it is:

3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
I have, for years, been warning people that one must stand before the LIGHT OF CHRIST FOR THEIR JUDGMENT AND RENOUNCE THEIR LOVE TYPES AND ACCEPT THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH IS TRUE BIBLICAL REPENTANCE. Your human loves are totally self orientated. They are, according to Jesus, EVIL. That’s what He said about it. It has, for the most part fallen on deaf ears. Look up the words for BEHOLD, and MANNER if you do not believe it. Jesus Christ IS THE SPIRIT OF DIVINE AGAPE. The Lord said that unless two people agree, they cannot walk together. How can you agree if you do not what you are to AGREE TO? All of this is so obvious and in your face I simply cannot understand why it is rejected, when in Matthew Seven Jesus REJECTS MILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS because, as He says, He never EXPERIENTIALLY CAME TO KNOW THEM. In other words, there was NO MEETING OF THE MINDS, there WAS NO REAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TWO.
I might ask what does “faith” or “belief” have to do with the acceptance of an AGREEMENT? An agreement is an agreement, a contract as it were. You cannot ‘AGREE” with the Lord until He shows you what this is all about!! It, in the end, is where you end up if you EXERCISE your faith and belief as a VERB and enter into the strait gate and narrow way and come to the LIGHT OF CHRIST, which is the NEW COVENANT, THE NEW AGREEMENT!!!
The only issue between man and God is this LOVE TYPE ISSUE. There is no other issue according to the Lord HIMSELF – and the standard of the Lord is DIVINE AGAPE. Rebirth readjusts a person to GOD’S STANDARDS. Modern Christianity does no such thing, for they do not even know what authentic rebirth is!!
John 3:19-21
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light,that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
There is only ONE CONDEMNATION, not two, not three or four, ONLY ONE. What is it? THAT DIVINE AGAPE LOVE, THE LIGHT OF GOD AND CHRIST, had come into the world, but mankind REJECTED IT and refused to ADMIT that their love types were unacceptable to the Creator. That’s all there is to it. Remember when Jesus said He did not come into the world to condemn it because the world had been condemned already? Here it is:
John 3:17-19
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
The world is already condemned. The human race is a FALLEN RACE, A CONDEMNED RACE. It’s so called LOVES are self-centered, selfish, and want some form of payback. Everyone has fallen short of the Glory of God. All have missed the mark, all walk in darkness, and all are under the control of the god of this world. Unless and until a soul comers to Christ IN TRUTH, they remain in condemnation. Jesus worded it this way, and read it carefully:
John 5:24
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Notice the word heareth, and he that hears DOES WHAT HE/SHE IS TOLD, that is, OBEYS. Remember when Jesus in Matthew Seven said that he that hears and DOES what he/she is told is wise, but that he/she that DOES NOT is a fool? But also notice that THE CONDEMNATION is removed if that soul has been passed from “death” (we are all dead to God unless we be born again), to LIFE, and life is defined as ONLY IN THE SON OF GOD.
Now to the main point of all of this: THE BRIDE OF CHRIST, the TRUE BRIDE, the BORN AGAIN BRIDE has passed from death into LIFE IN CHRIST. They are truly BORN AGAIN. They have stood before the LIGHT OF CHRIST and have had a LOVE CHANGE. They are IN CHRIST IN TRUTH. This is the FEW, this is the true Bride.
We might ask, is the TRUE BRIDE WORTHY? If they are covered by the robes of Chrit’s Divine Agape, they are worthy, not because of any worthiness they have, which is NONE, ZERO, NOTTO, but rather because CHRIST IS WORTHY.
Remember Jesus said that A SNARE was to come upon the EARTH DWELLERS, SUDDENLY AND WITH NO WARNING WHATSOEVER,and that those that were counted WORTHY would “ESCAPE” THE COMING SEAL, TRUMPET AND BOWL JUDGEMENTS for they were only for the EARTH DWELLERS. These are the worldly people, who are fully taken by life and all of its diversions. They live only for the next meal, the next ball game, the next entertainment, etc. They have no thoughts at all about the Lord, the Bible, all any of those things. They are in all cases, DWELLERS OF THE EARTH. This also includes many Christians as well, according to Revelation. They are MARRIED TO THE EARTH, and the true Bride is MARRIED TO JESUS who is not of this world.
However, the BRIDE OF CHRIST IS WORTHY. I did a study on the word WORTHY and how it was used, and it all comes back to authentic rebirth.Inasmuch as Jesus Himself says that the two hours of darkness are all for the earth dwellers, then it is obvious that either the Bride must be protected or removed. The word “escape” means “to flee out of”, and comes from another word that means essentially the same thing, to BE REMOVED FROM. As we have said, DANIEL’S 70TH week is for Israel, and Israel alone, to ATONE. The real true Christian has already atoned via the strait gate and narrow way.
The reason for this “removal” is because the BRIDE must make herself ready by undergoing what is called the “Bema Seat Judgment”. This is a judgment for REWARDS, not a judgment to determine if one goes to heaven or not. This judgment is wholly different than the condemnation judgment.
Of what does the TRUE BRIDE have to do with Israel? Yes, we were grafted in, but there are TWO PROGRAMS for the people of Christ. One is for THE BRIDE, the other is for the TRIBULATION SAINTS. The BRIDE is BORN AGAIN, the TRIBULATION SAINTS ARE NEVER BORN AGAIN. What happens it that Jesus Christ asked us all to present ourselves as LIVING sacrifices, and that is done by walking the NARROW WAY UNTO DEATH. That is why Jesus told you, commanded you to pick up your OWN CROSS, and die the death, that is go to the lowest room and wait for Him that bade you to come to the wedding (your own to Christ of course).
Suddenly that concept is TOTALLY DONE AWAY WITH – REBIRTH is REPLACED with BEHEADING. Remember that Paul said you could give your life for “the cause” and it would not avail you anything UNLESS you were BORN AGAIN. “If you have not charity” and the word charity is DIVINE AGAPE, which can only be obtained by REBIRTH. But now, suddenly a very strange thing happens. Suddenly YOU CAN GIVE YOUR LIFE BY BEHEADING and the Lord accepts that as an acceptable sacrifice so you can enter the Kingdom of God. I know people hate the concept of dispensations, but there clearly are dispensations, and here is a KEY ONE.
All dispensation means in reality is how God deals with the human race. Before the Church Age, there was no such thing as REBIRTH. You cannot find it anywhere. You can, however, SEE REFERENCES TO ITS COMING IN THE FUTURE. REBIRTH came into being in what is called the AGE OF GRACE, the CHURCH AGE, whatever you want to call it. REBIRTH ENDS WHEN DANIELS 70TH WEEK BEGINS.
The BRIDE is therefore a totally different category than the TRIBULATION SAINTS. However, to be clear, BOTH OF THEM USE THE NAME OF CHRIST. This is important. The tribulation saints are behead because of their testimony for Jesus Christ, and “loved not their lives unto death”. There is no mention of REBIRTH. One enters into the Kingdom by BEHEADING and beheading only. WHY?
This is an interesting question that I have pondered over the years, and as many of you know, I was first Pre-Tribulational rapture type, then changed my mind and was pre-wrath, but then the Lord showed me WHY the Bride is different than anyone else on the entire planet. Here is my take on the why.
During the Church Age, the only way a person can be authentically BORN AGAIN is to enter in at the STRAIT GATE and walk the NARROW WAY unto death. This death is a great mystery but can be attested to by anyone who has walked it. You are fully alive but know you are dead. It could be called a “death experience” while alive. It is horrific to go through. The narrow way is really the way that God shows the human soul of their TRUE STANDING before the Lord.
In other words the NARROW WAY REVEALS the fact that that soul is DEAD BEFORE GOD. It is, in a SPIRITUAL SENSE, the same thing as being BEHEADED. DEATH IS DEATH. Death is total and complete separation from your creator. The human race, being fallen, is DEAD TO THE CREATOR. You had a chance in the AGE OF GRACE or CHURCH AGE to accomplish this “death walk” if you will, by entering in at the STRAIT GATE AND WALKING THE NARROW WAY. Jesus gave us NO OTHER WAY IN. Conversion and Regeneration are a strait gate and narrow way apart. Conversion is done by YOU, regeneration is done by God, and ONLY when you have walked the way of death.
That all changes, and now instead of a SPIRITUAL WALK, it is a PHYSICAL WALK. In other words, what was SPIRITUAL in its nature is now very much PHYSICAL. The end result of the Narrow Way was to FIND CHRIST, FIND YOUR RANSOM, STAND BEFORE THE LIGHT and ACCEPT THE FREE OFFER OF CHRIST. All of that is now changed. In the HOUR OF TRIAL or TEMPTATION, none of that applies. Do you see?
The BRIDE OF CHRIST goes out first most likely found in Revelation 4:1-2, the TRIBULATION SAINTS GO OUT SECOND, found in Revelation 11:11-12. Do you not find it a bit interesting that the armistice was signed on 11:11:11? That concludes the ENTIRE WORK OF CHRIST. HIS PEOPLE, HIS WORK is over. Both groups, all of whom CALLED UPON THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST are now gone. Now the world faces something of a horrific nature. Can people be saved during this time? There is great argument over it, but I believe some can be and will be, but you will notice that this is simply act of GOD THE FATHER who says He wants ALL to come to repentance. His mercy is great, His love more so.
Therefore, I believe that the work of Christ concludes before the HOUR OF JUDGMENT begins. His program for the BRIDE and the TRIBULATION SAINTS is over. All of them called upon the name of Christ to be saved. All of them were.
THE WORK OF CHRIST
1. The Church Age, Age of Grace – Begins at Pentecost – the age of REBIRTH. Verily, verily, I say unto you MUST be born again, or you cannot see or enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
2. Those that are Born Again in truth and who remain alive at the time of the Rapture of the Bride Of Christ are removed prior to Daniel’s 70th week. They were READY when the call came.
3. The Tribulation Saints are those NOT born AGAIN, and who were not “ready” when the call came, and must remain behind to face the first half of Daniel’s 70th week. They must be beheaded in order to enter in to Heaven’s Gate.
Remember that Israel must undergo the TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE, which appears to be the TIME OF JUDGMENT, or the LAST 3.5 YEARS of GROSS SPIRITUAL DARKNESS. They will not accept Jesus Christ until the very last, according to Scripture. Those that were the LAST TO BE CALLED (the Church and Tribulation Saints) come in FIRST, and those that were FIRST CALLED (ISRAEL), will come in last.
So if all of this be true, then this has grave ramifications for the apostate church, for if in fact the SIGN GIVEN IN REVELATION 12:1 is being interpreted correctly, and is in fact the mid-point period of Daniel’s 70 week, then we must come back the 1260 days and we arrive at April 11, 2014. As pointed out before, both the comets, Hyakatake and Hale-Bopp crossed over the star Algol (Satan’s head), on 4-11-1996 and 4-11-1997 showing us that the CROSS OF CHRIST was going to eclipse and destroy Satan’s strangle hold upon Earth. Because 20 is the number of redemption and expectancy, I concluded that in 20 years, 2016/2017 the COMPLETE WORK OF CHRIST would be concluded. Thus both the BRIDE and the TRIBULATION SAINTS would be removed and the HOUR OF JEGEMENT and the time of Jacob’s trouble would most likely begin.
The fact that this 4-11 has now come to us THREE TIMES, it appears to be a “verily, verily, VERILY” type of warning that EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE READY. Few actually are.
I received an e-mail from a Christian brother that appears to verify the April, 2014 date and the possibility of the ANTICHRIST PEACE ACCORD being set up. It was announced on NBC News just the other day. Here is his e-mail:
“2 seconds ago watching the news on tv. They said Israel and Palestinians begins 9 months of talks.
9 months!!!!!! April 11 2014. Antichrist peace covenant?????’
AND THEN
“Last night on NBC news said it 3 times 9 months!!!! And Brian Williams said we will see what happens in 9 months with these talks! April 11. 2014.
Why are they talking about 9 month or APRIL 2014? The Illuminati think they have all of this planned out when in fact it is the Lord who has it all planned out!!! But why would a major Illuminati Network use the term 9 months? Ae they telling that the New World order will be BORN in 9 months? Are they telling us that Parry’s visit to Jerusalem in the impregnation? We know that the “gentiles” trod down Jerusalem for 3.5 years:
Rev 11:2
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
It appears that either a major war, like Isaiah 17, is what triggers the West under NATO/UN forces to come into Israel and take control of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount to put an end to all the fuss over Jerusalem. We have already watched the “hooks in the jaws” of Gog-Magog being firmly set by the treaties they have made with Arab nations round-about. Putin and his military have made a number of warnings to the United States not to interfere in the affairs of Syria, Iran or other nations over there. Read Ezekiel 38/39 for that story. So then, we may see a major conflict prior to April 11, 2014 that leads to a confirmation of an already existing peace accord, like Oslo? Does the Illuminati ALREADY KNOW that OBAMA is their man? Is that why He was given the Oslo PEACE prize? Is he the one that will “confirm the covenant” with many? He appears to be a man of war, but perhaps there is a method to the madness as they say.
Now there is more here as to why I feel that the real Christians will not be subject to this hour of trial or temptation. This is from a paper someone sent to me that is very interesting written by Pastor F.M. Riley. Now Riley has predicted the return of Christ a number of times by date and it never came to pass, however, that does not mean his analysis of certain Scripture is wrong. Here is what he says and I agree totally with it:
“The word “temptation” in this verse (Revelation 3:10) is translated from the Greek word “peirasmos” This Greek word occurs 21 times in the New Testament, corresponding with the 21 judgments that will be poured out during the Tribulation. This Greek word literally means, “experiment, trial, to test by adversity, affliction, trouble, to test or prove one’s faith, fedility, integrity, or virtue.” See Thayer’s Greek Lexicon, Pages 498-499, Strong’s No. 3986. If our readers will study each of the 21 Sc riptures in the New Testament where the word occurs, it will be seen:
(1)That the Lord instructed His disciples to pray they would be kept from “peirasmos”, Matthew 6:13; Luke 11:4; 22:40.
(2)That the Lord Himself urged His disciples to “Watch and pray” to KEEP FROM ENTERING “Peirasmos” Matthew 26:41; Mark 14:38
(3)That the Lord Himself warned His disciples NOT TO SLEEP (Spiritually) but to “rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation. (peirasmos).”
Now one might want to ask why the Lord Jesus would ask us to continually PRAY TO AVOID THIS TERRIBLE TIME OF TROUBLE if in fact He knew all along He was not going to deliver HIS BRIDE out of it? I believe this totally proves my contention that the TRIBULATION SAINTS have to walk a PHYSICAL NARROW WAY, rather than a SPIRITUAL NARROW WAY. REBIRTH IS OVER, THE STRAIT GATE AND NARROW WAY IS CLOSED AT THE REMOVAL OF THE TRUE BRIDE OF CHRIST. This is the only way the Tribulation Saints can ATONE for their sins, THAT IS, to make reconciliation. Reconciliation is a TWO WAY STREET. There is no reconciliation if only one party desire it. God reconciled Himself to the Earth, now mankind must reconciles himself back to God. The Tribulation Saints MUST do this via BEHEADING, which is exactly what the STAR ALGOL is all about.

The point being that we are already seeing changes in the SUN, MOON AND STARS. Big changes. All the planets are changing. The Sun is growing more or more anomalous every week that goes by. Now scientists are telling us Cycle 24 is a big dud, nothing to worry about. I believe this is the quiet before the storm. Cycle 24 is not really over until 2016-2017 and Cycle 25 begins. Scientists in Europe and here are saying we may witness a DOUBLE-PEAK of solar activity.

“The earth barely missed taking a massive solar punch in the teeth two weeks ago, an “electromagnetic pulse” so big that it could have knocked out power, cars and iPhones throughout the United States.
Two EMP experts told Secrets that the EMP flashed through earth’s typical orbit around the sun about two weeks before the planet got there.

‘The Israeli Government Has Surrendered the Temple Mount’
Activists call for mass-protests after police say Judaism’s holiest site will be closed to Jews at least until after Ramadan, on August 11.

In an “unprecedented” move, police on Wednesday informed Jewish groups that the Temple Mount will be closed to all non-Muslims until at least the end of Ramadan, on 11th August. The announcement has provoked renewed anger over anti-Jewish discrimination on the Temple Mount, and sparked calls by activists for a mass-protest on 7th August, at the start of the Hebrew month of Elul.
Temple Mount activists had complained that for the past three days the Temple Mount – the holiest place in Judaism – remained inexplicably closed to non-Muslim visitors. The only “explanation” offered was a bland sign which simply read “Today the Temple Mount will be closed to visitors.”
Those restrictions did not, however, apply to Muslim visitors, who continue to receive unrestricted access.
On Wednesday, Police Commander Avi Bitton finally informed representatives of the Organisation of Temple Movements – an umbrella of various Temple Mount groups – that the sign would remain up for at least another two weeks, until after the Muslim festival of “Eid”, which marks the end of Ramadan.
Since the beginning of Ramadan, Islamists have upped their campaign to prevent Jews from setting foot on the Temple Mount – let alone praying there.
On the eve of the 9th of Av – the Jewish day of mourning over the destruction of the Holy Temples – a group of Jews including Deputy Foreign Minister Ze’ev Elkin were driven off the Mount by a mob of Muslim extremists.
The next day, police banned Jews from the site altogether, provoking angry reactions from worshippers, activists and Members of Knesset, including government ministers.
Since then, say activists, Jews who wish to ascend have either been turned away without explanation, or otherwise subjected to even more severe restrictions than they had previously experienced.
In a statement following the meeting, the Organisation of Temple Movements accused the police of caving in to Islamist threats of violence, and failing in their duty to secure freedom of worship:
“Since the beginning of this month, groups of Muslims have used violence to try to prevent Jews from entering the plaza of the Temple Mount. Police could not deal with the rioting Muslim extremists, and time and time again stood helpless before them,
“Now it turns out that the police have collapsed completely in their mission, and have failed in their effort to keep order on the Temple Mount.”
Yehuda Glick, a spokesman for the Organisation of Temple Movements, slammed the police decision as “illegal”:
“All of these [closures of the Temple Mount] were illegal actions taken by police, violating freedom of access to holy places,” he said.
Glick called on Jews and government ministers to immediately begin visiting the Temple Mount around the clock, in response to attempts to deny access to Jews.
The Temple Mount is Judaism’s holiest site, where the two holy Temples once stood before being destroyed by the Babylonian and Roman empires respectively.
Despite its supreme importance to Jews worldwide, Jewish visitors are subject to draconian restrictions on the Mount, including a ban on praying, due to the presence of an Islamic complex, administered by the Waqf Islamic Trust, and amid threats by Islamist groups. The Israeli police have bypassed several court decisions upholding the Jewish right to prayer there by citing unspecified “security concerns”, either to ban individual activists or even to issue blanket prohibitions on Jews ascending at all. Religious Jews are followed closely by Israeli police and Waqf guards to prevent them from praying, or from carrying out any other religious rituals. Non-Jewish visitors are not subject to such restrictions.
But Wednesday’s decision to close the Mount for such a prolonged period of time is “unprecedented,” according to Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute.
“This sets a new and dangerous precedent,” warned Rabbi Richman.
“Over the past few weeks there have been several attacks by Muslim extremists on the Temple Mount, and the police have aided and abetted them by standing by and allowing our rights to be violated. Even the Deputy Foreign Minister was not granted the right to freedom of worship.”
Rabbi Richman accused the government of having “surrendered sovereignty over the Temple Mount.”
“By granting the Jordanian-run Waqf free reign on the site, even acquiescing to their demands to ban Jews from ascending, the State of Israel has effectively abandoned the Temple Mount altogether.
“No matter what posturing the government performs, and no matter how many times they repeat the meaningless mantra that ‘The Temple Mount is in our hands’ [a reference to the famous declaration made after the liberation of Jerusalem in 1967 – ed.], the fact is that the Temple Mount is actually in the hands of the Waqf and the Jordanian government.”
“Test balloon”
The Organization of Temple Movements is taking this latest development very seriously, viewing it as a “test balloon” as to how the Israeli public – and wider Jewish public – will respond.
As a result, they have announced a demonstration at 7:30am on the 7th of August, which is also the start of the Hebrew month of Elul, marking the beginning of the period of repentance in the run up to the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashana) and the holiest day on the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur.
“This week we commemorated the 10th anniversary of the reopening of the Temple Mount to Jews, after it was closed for three years following the outbreak of the Arab intifada,” said Rabbi Richman.
“During those three years of abandonment the Waqf took the opportunity to destroy countless precious artifacts in an attempt to erase the Jewish connection to the Mount.
“It is truly tragic that the government has chosen to mark this occasion by once again imposing an extended ban on Jewish ascents.
“If this situation passes quietly, we will have reached a point of no return. The police are testing the waters: how important is the Temple Mount to the Jewish public? Our message – and the message of Jews around the world – must be clear: the Temple Mount is the heart and soul of the Jewish people, and we will not abandon it again.”
So now it begins. Watch the news and watch the signs in the heavens. Do not forget the tetrads for 2014 and 2015. None of this is coincidental.
